Do not play with this feature. Risk your account loss/ban at your own!
If a user no longer wants to have an account on Discord, they can easily delete it!
Instructions[]
To delete your account, you must transfer the ownership of all the servers you own. If you attempt to delete your account before doing so, a warning will appear.
Once you have transferred the ownership of your servers, you can now go and delete your account.
Go to the "Settings" ––> "My Account" section. Click on the button “Edit” on the right part of the window and then click on "Delete Account".
A new window will appear, asking for your password. Enter your password and click "Delete Account".
And, you're done!
What happens next?[]
The account will be in a "pending deletion" state and will be deleted in 2 weeks.
Attempting to login into your account at any time during the 2 weeks will result in a dialog box popping up, which asks if the user wants to restore their account.
Clicking "Return to Login" will continue to keep the account in a "pending deletion" state. Clicking "Restore Account" will stop the account deletion process, and the user will have their account back.
After 2 weeks[]
After 2 weeks, the real process begins.
The user will permanently have no access to their Discord account. The profile picture will reset into the default one, and the username will change to Deleted User, along with a random string of numbers and letters.
If an account is removed by Discord themselves for a ToS violation[1], then the profile picture will reset into the default one, but the username will turn into Deleted User#0000.
