The loot boxes GUI without any boxes opened or rewards received
Loot boxes were a joke feature added to Discord for April Fools 2024. Users were able to open loot boxes from the Loot Boxes section in Settings until they were discontinued on April 8th, 2024. Lets say our Goodbyes.
Mechanics[]
On the Loot Boxes menu, you can press the "Open a new box!" button at the top of the screen to open a new box. This plays an animation and the loot box contents are revealed. Each item has it's own unique image, name and sound that plays both when the item is unboxed, and when it is clicked on in the GUI. At the top, a user can see the number of loot boxes they have opened, the number of unique rewards they have received and the total number of loot boxes opened by all users

Badge & Avatar Decoration[]
The loot boxes GUI with all 9 rewards received
Upon receiving all 9 rewards, an additional banner appears prompting the user to claim their "limited-time reward". Clicking the "Claim Reward" button opens a popup informing the user that it was in fact an April Fools joke and giving them the option to equip the "I'm a Clown" avatar decoration. Users also automatically gain a limited time badge on their profile. The "I'm a Clown" avatar decoration cannot be equipped after May 9th.
