Example of packs available in the (now-closed) Sticker Shop
Stickers are non-embeddable images or gifs that can be used in a text channel. They appear similarly to emojis, but are much larger and cannot be interacted with.
Introduction[]
Stickers were introduced in October 2020 for users in Canada and other select countries. Users with access to stickers could purchase sticker packs inside of the sticker shop, with a few packs free for Nitro users.
Removal of store[]
On May 15, 2021, Discord announced that they would be removing the sticker shop, making stickers Nitro exclusive, and allowing servers to upload custom stickers with server boosts. Users who previously paid for sticker packs were refunded, and users who purchased stickers through the iOS version of Discord received a compensation of Discord Nitro due to the fact that Discord could not offer direct refunds.
Most packs that were originally in the store were removed, however a few stayed and 2 sticker sets (Hello Wumpus and Wumpus Nitro Elite) Got merged together as Wumpus Beyond, however with a few stickers being removed.
